FROM THE ADMINISTRATOR

The lodge continues to do very well in supporting several community service projects. What our volunteers do is greatly appreciated by everyone involved, especially those that benefit from our charitable efforts. Moose International rewarded the Lodge with another “Superior” for our continued efforts in this area. However several of the collection efforts we were contributing to on a continual basis have diminished. We will be setting up new collection boxes for those projects that we continue to support such as Sharing & Caring food donations, Spouse Abuse Center donations, and SOCKS & PAWS cat & dog food collections. Please support these ef
forts as they are important not only to that needy individual that benefit but also contributes to the Moose’s ability to maintain our non-profit status and our good standing in the community.
We are looking for someone to chair the Activities Committee. This person will help us plan and execute a variety of activities and group outings that members of all ages can participate in such as short trips to ballgames, canoeing, tubing, fishing, hiking, biking, gambling, and similar kinds of things. Please see me if you are interested in trying to help with this committee.
Our Territory Manager recently made his annual inspection of the lodge and checked all required documentation, record keeping, licensing & permits federal, state and local, tax records & payments, corporate filings, insurance coverages, membership records, and other required reports and found all in good order.
The Governor and I will be attending the international convention in Tampa and will bring back any updates and news of importance. Pending resolutions to change the General Laws will be voted on at the convention. The most significant resolution is for the fraternity to prohibit smoking at any time in the social quarters and lodge home and this includes e-cigarettes. Fortunately we have anticipated this coming and are building a smoking room addition to accommodate our smoking members. We hope to have this completed by 1 July. We had to pay an additional $3,200 to get the sprinkler system and fire alarm system extended to the new room. Another resolution we will vote on is to allow lodge officers to receive compensation for services such as janitorial, landscaping, kitchen, entertainment, etc. Previously only the Administrator could receive compensation from the lodge for his work.
Fraternally,
Brian Trundy Administrator

FROM THE SOCIAL QUARTERS MANAGER

The smoking room is almost complete. Thanks to the WOTM for purchasing the tables & chairs for the room. The Lodge will install a big screen TV as soon as we get the walls painted. We are planning for new carpets and ceiling tiles for the social quarters and we will have to wash and paint the walls as well. We will be asking for volunteers to help with these efforts. Remember 2nd Friday in August we will be having prime rib and grilled shrimp instead of usual steaks. The 18th of August is the Lodge Anniversary and we are planning a live band and other fun things for this event. Come out and enjoy the good times with us? We have two Lodge pool teams that have qualified to go to Las Vegas to compete in the APA tournament and they will be doing some fund raisers around the Lodge to help with costs, please support these as best you can.
